Used Book Workshop Hours

Last day to donate - Wednesday, March 7

The Used Book Workshop, located at 176 Technology Drive, Boalsburg maintains these hours from Labor Day to March 7th, 2018: Hours will be Monday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You are invited to bring your book donation during workshop hours, simply press the white doorbell located adjacent to the loading dock to bring them inside. Please note that during holiday periods, hours may vary.

Upcoming meetings

  • Attend a gathering for prospective members on Saturday, February, 17 at the Centre Furnace Mansion beginning at 10 a.m. A brief presentation on the Mansion's current exhibit on Centre County Women in the American Red Cross Centennial will begin at 10:30 a.m. On Tuesday, February, 20, the State College Branch co-sponsors a free screening of the documentary, Zero Weeks, which will be shown at 6 p.m. at the Freeman Auditorium of the HUB-Robeson Center.

AAUW State College Announces Centennial Gift

To commemorate 100 years as a branch, AAUW State College awarded $100,000 to the Penn State Forum Distinguished Speaker Series. Branch Community Grants Awarded

At its June 7 Board meeting, the AAUW State College Branch approved $48,540 in community grants from proceeds of the 2017 Used Book Sale. Community grant recipients include programs sponsored by the Centre County Women's Resource Center, Mid-State Literacy Council, Inc., the Centre County Library and Historical Museum, and two elementary school libraries.
