Community Grants to Centre County Non-profits
Grants and Scholarships
Applicants must be non-profit (501C3) organizations located in Centre County, Pennsylvania and must include women and serve women and girls who reside in the county. The primary thrust of the organization's project must be educational.
- Allocations are made for one year only. Applications may be made in subsequent years for continuing, expanding, or new projects. Funding received in one year does NOT guarantee funding for the following year.
- Allocations may be made for a portion of the requested amount, depending upon the amount of funds available.
- A request that asks for a specific portion of support for a project will generally receive greater consideration than one that looks to the AAUW State College Branch as its only source of funding (example: educational materials or equipment).
- The following items will not be considered for funding:
- Electric or telephone bills
- Facility maintenance
- Consultant contracts
- Organizations receiving funding from the AAUW State College Branch agree to acknowledge our support in ways visible to their clients and the public such as in program materials, newsletters, etc.
YOUR CHANCES OF BEING FUNDED ARE INCREASED IF DIRECTIONS ARE FOLLOWED CAREFULLY.
