Community Grants

The national AAUW mission is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research. The AAUW State College Branch affirms these values guiding its philanthropy:

Grant requests must align with AAUW State College Branch’s mission of advancing equity for women and girls. Requests will be evaluated according to their fulfilling the above value statements. Grant applicants must be non-profit organizations located in Centre County, PA.

Non-profit organizations receiving grants from the AAUW State College Branch agree to acknowledge our support in ways visible to their clients and the public such as in program materials, newsletters, annual reports, and more. They also agree to submit program and service assessments after the completion of funded proposals.

In June 2013, the AAUW State College Branch awarded almost $68,000 to 23 community organizations. If you have questions about the 2014 community grant application process, please direct your questions to the Philanthropic Priorities and Funds Distribution Committee co-chair Connie Wheeler (conniewheeler@pennstatefederal.com).
