¡Adelante! Book Club
The ¡Adelante! Book Club is the AAUW's diversity focused book club. We read and discuss books that celebrate diversity. The books we choose to read are typically selected from the AAUW Book Club list.
Our book club will meet Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 7 pm at Foxdale Village in the new Boardroom in apartment E‐75. We're discussing In the Eye of the Storm; Swept to the Center by God by Gene Robinson.
Gene is the gay bishop of the Episcopal Diocese in New Hampshire. His election to the bishopric caused a storm of controversy within the worldwide Anglican Communion. This book is sure to generate much discussion about his religious views and about homosexuality.
